In the exhibit 'Into the Light' visitors can engage in unusual hands-on experiments with light, sound and illusion: create hypsometric maps with colour-changing sand, break away from your own shadow, or even travel to Mars. Highly interactive and Instagrammable, entries are timed and guests are accompanied by a tour-guide who ensures that everyone is not only having fun, but also understands the science that governs each experiment. Ideal for all ages, including kids and teens, the goal of the exhibit is to inspire people to think creatively and awaken a passion for science in participants. Visiting time: 90mins.
'Into the Darkness' is an hour-long experience with a blind tour guide which takes place in total darkness. Participants will not only experience what it is like to operate in the world without sight, but also how to rely on their other senses, and their imaginations. Participants also gain insight into how to help the blind, what to be aware of, and what to avoid. In this way the exhibit expands sensitivity and empathy for unsighted people. This tour is offered for anyone over 9 years of age, but their are also specific 18+ time slots for a more focused and impactful experience. Visiting time: 60mins.
Tours of both exhibits are also offered in English, and specific times can be seen online. Team-building, workshops and trainings can also be organised in WOMAI.
