While the upstairs of this historic 15th-century building boasts some of the best views and most beautiful interiors in town, the revamped ground-floor cafe and bistro benefits from seating directly on the market square (heated in autumn/winter), a more casual atmosphere, and prices more befitting those not looking for Kraków's most exclusive dining opportunity. In addition to delicious coffee and sweets, the menu includes a range of breakfast sets, sandwiches and European standards like burgers, pasta and pizza, plus items especially for kids. As a result it's ideal for anyone looking for the prestige of market square dining, without paying those kinds of prices. Even if you're not that hungry, simply go for a coffee and dessert and enjoy those amazing views of St. Mary's Basilica.
