*Due to its apparent financial infeasibility, Kraków's Wavelo bike share service will terminate at the end of December 2019. It is not clear if Kraków will have a bike share service for residents in 2020.*

Kraków's year-round bike share service was completely revamped in 2016, resulting in Wavelo - a system of hundreds of sturdy public bikes which can be gathered from stations across the city and dropped off at any other station. Unlike the former system, Wavelo actually works for tourists too, by offering a special one-day subscription for visitors (and also by having an English version of their website). The 24-hour subscription includes an overly ample 12 hours of actual riding time, split into as many trips as you want, for only 29zł (rent 2 bikes on one account for 24hrs and pay 29zł for the first bike and only an extra 0.10zł/min for the second bike). Register on their website, or from their rather spiffy app, which actually calculates distances and times between your destinations, how much each trip will cost, and lets you know where the nearest bikes and stations are.
