This 7th-floor restaurant is literally the cherry on top of the massive Jubilat layer cake/department store. Built in 1969, the problem is that the cake has gone a bit off. Despite having what must be the largest rooftop terrace in Kraków, and a direct view of Wawel Castle, Vidok feels a little too 'old-school'. The entrance is not inviting at all, and the quality of the service, as well as the Polish and European fare they serve, is very inconsistent. Still, have you seen these views? If you just want a quick coffee, beer or wine, there are few places better than Vidok. If you think the views are great during the day, come back again after dark for a completely different and equally thrilling view of Wawel at night under the lights.
