With dozens of locations established across Poland, The White Bear has made Kraków the site of their largest locale yet. This modern coffee company distinguishes itself with a huge range of drinks and food, but also a distinctly funky design sense. Although the Insta-friendly interiors have a bit of an erratic 'try everything and see what sticks' approach, somehow it does, thanks to a consistent pink, gold and pastels colour palette, and cheeky decor - bespectacled polar bears coexist alongside leggy flamingos and preening peacocks, while the Mona Lisa peeks out through the jungle motifs with a latte moustache. That creativity extends to their expansive drinks menu, which is loaded with coffee classics, unique iced coffees, creative shakes, smoothies, matchas, fresh-squeezed juices, lemonades, and even their own range of ice creams. With every type of 'milk' yet-imagined, and customisation seemingly limitless, even the fussiest of clients and strangest of tastes are catered to.
The White Bear Coffee
What's more, The White Bear is a great place to drop in for a late breakfast or brunch. In addition to plenty of pastries and cakes, a full range of sweet and savoury breakfast options is offered until 14:00 every day. Choices range from oatmeal and granola to bagel sandwiches, omelettes, shakshouka, and dozens of delicious sweet and savoury-topped waffles. With a great location near the library, ample outdoor seating in the spring/summer, and a young staff, the crowd skews similarly young, but there's truly no demographic that won't find what they're looking for in a modern coffeeshop here.
