Considered one of Poland's biggest postwar cultural icons, Agnieszka Osiecka (1936-1997) was primarily a poet and songwriter, penning over 2000 songs, but also wrote for the theatre, television and film. An incredibly bright, beautiful, creative and talented person, her life was one of celebrity, and the Polish public remains fascinated with her private life today. Case in point, Osiecka kept a private diary as a teenager, which has been published in multiple volumes and read by many. She also took photographs, which were never intended for public view or publication, but now find themselves the subject of this MOCAK exhibition. Accompanying the exhibit will be extensive excerpts from Osiecka's diaries and letters, as well as recollections of friends and colleagues.
