This simply-decorated, slender eatery on busy Grodzka Street is a good place to try some local food, get a quick calorie fix, and maybe even take home some Polish delicacies. In addition to the counter packed full of regional products like smoked cheeses and kiełbasa, and the rows of small batch alcohols, Taste Poland also has a concise menu of hot food you can eat on the spot at one of the few tables. Tuck into a proper pork cutlet, try beetroot soup (barszcz), play it safe with pierogi, or order up a filling breakfast, which they serve all day. You can also grab a quick sandwich to-go. If your sightseeing party is starting to get cranky, this little spot is actually a godsend, and a solid crash course of which foods you should try while visiting. Also at ul. Floriańska 19.
