<p>Summer has come to Kraków and the festival season is in full swing with professional musicians taking stages across town to perform in officially sponsored events. But Kraków has a full 'line-up' of musicians who fill the city's public spaces with their music year-round: for some they make a vital contribution to the energetic, cultural atmosphere of the city; for others they are tolerated, but largely tuned out as we hurry about our business. This festival takes street musicians off the street and takes a look at what happens when they are placed in a professional cultural context and given top billing.
