Once containing fish ponds belonging to Norbertine nuns, this square in Kraków's Salwator district is now an outdoor market serving the fruit and vegetable needs of the area's residents. A no-longer-existent bar, located at a corner of the square up till 1991, continues to occupy the imagination of old-timer local Bohemians thanks to the poems of Jerzy Harasymowicz and music of Wojciech Bellon, who were both infatuated with the place.
