Join us on the weekend of October 7th and 8th as we celebrate the 144th anniversary of the founding of the National Museum in Krakow! To mark this special occasion, admission to all permanent and temporary exhibitions will be just 5 PLN. The museum has prepared a plethora of exciting attractions for visitors of all ages.

On Saturday, October 7th, at the MNK Main Building from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the square in front of the main building will host "Art - Emotions - Communication." Activities include building spatial forms from wooden elements, assembling large-format jigsaw puzzles, and making clay pipes. The square will also feature a drift map, therapeutic drumming, and a relaxation zone—all free of charge.
In the XX+XXI Gallery of Polish Art, witness live painting inspired by selected works from the collections. From 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, join "XX+XXI. Art of Children," where MNK's little ambassadors, creators of an audio guide, engage in dialogue with exhibition curators.

At 4:00 pm, in the U Samurajów Audio-Video Room, Dr. Aleksandra Kolobius presents "I like it - or what our brain chooses from the world of visual culture," a captivating lecture illustrated with film footage.

In the MNK Czartoryski Museum courtyard, at 8:00 pm, enjoy the ballet and pantomime performance "La Fortuna. The Lady with an Ermine" by the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet. Tickets are priced at PLN 50, with limited seating available.

On Sunday, October 8th, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, join us at the Main Square for a delightful music and dance performance featuring popular film soundtracks, classical music, jazz, rock, and heavy metal tunes.

We are also thrilled to share that the National Museum in Krakow has received the Parents' Award at the Sunflowers 2023 Gala for its outstanding initiative—the premiere of the audio guide to the Gallery of 20th and 21st Century Polish Art. Produced by the children of MNK's Little Embassy, these recordings offer both knowledge and a refreshing perspective on art. You can access these recordings on the MNK AudioGuide app. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating with you!
