Located on the ground floor of Potocki Palace on Kraków's market square, this fresh fine dining and cocktail destination bucks trends by going with a clean, white interior more befitting a modern art gallery than a Renaissance-era palace. Of course the vaulted ceilings and original details remain, offset by vivid and boisterous works by contemporary local artists Bartłomiej Chwilczyński and Dobiesław Gała. Such styling befits the colourful cocktails worked up bar staff, as well as the building's other functions as the base of the Kraków Festival Office (big time power brokers in the local cultural scene) and the Bunkier Sztuki contemporary art gallery. The menu combines Polish and French cuisine, offering fresh local fish, mussels, oysters and lamb chops, but also leaves options like the obligatory pierogi and pasta dishes so those with smaller budgets can still enjoy the spectacular views of St. Mary's and the Cloth Hall from their market square patio. To that end they also open early for breakfast and are a great place to stop for a stiff drink or coffee any time.
