We're not sure what's more impressive about this progressive rock band - that, as it was formed in 1968, or that mainstay Robert Fripp has been its one constant driving force over the past 50 years as the band around him has rotated through over 20 members. King Crimson has certainly made its mark on the musical landscape, beginning with their contribution to the 1970s progressive rock movement, and their continuing influence over the years on the many contemporary artists that have come after them.
