This photography exhibition of the images of Gerard Banach is part of the Navigator Festival at NCK. Banach has been involved in mountain and landscape photography since 2015, particularly in the Polish Tatras, which are close to his home.

"I look at the Tatra Mountains attentively and capture moments that show what a living and unusual organism they are. The mountains are alive, have their own dynamics and are different every season. They are a meeting place for many people, the birthplace of different thoughts and emotions, as well as dramas happening. I look for something in them that moves and delights, while maintaining a respect for every step on the trail. I feel a certain fulfilment in them when I capture in a frame a reality that will not be repeated again. Being in the mountains means experiencing new emotions and reaching new horizons - both my own and photographic. And, moreover, a place where you can still find... silence."
