A hit and miss affair that must be doing something right due to its longevity, this is a much less self-consciously Lithuanian restaurant than its folksy counterparts that serves not just classic dishes but features a few international dishes as well. Very affordable considering the location, the summer terrace can be found squashed down a side street complete with a view of a couple of walls and little else.
The tent enclosure is a bit claustrophobic, but in the wind-blown rainy summer that has enveloped LT this year at times, it was a good idea for when my friends and I ate there. Had we been exposed out on Theater Square, our dinners would have blown across it in the storm that hit while we were there. Being surrounded by the other buildings broke the high wind gusts. The food was very good in that "Eastern European heavy" sort of way, the portions large, and the service was very good. If you eat a late dinner here you can definitely skip supper.
