Located inside the same complex as the Castle Museum, this splendid and long overdue addition to Klaipėda’s cultural sights features several small and atmospheric rooms charting the fate of the city through the six years of war from which the museum gets its name. The chilling photographs of the locals waving swastikas with smiles on their faces contrasted with images of the city in ruins a few years later tell you everything you need to know about the stupidity of war.
