Once Memel’s main city cemetery and covering an area of 10 hectares, this L-shaped oasis close to the city centre was converted into a sculpture park in 1977. The 116 granite works on display made by 61 Lithuanian artists and several artists from abroad now come with QR codes that give more information about each work with the simple wave of a smartphone. In the southeastern corner is the diminutive All Russian Saints Orthodox Church, converted in 1947 from a former Lutheran chapel dating from 1939. Several of the park’s former gravestones can be found on display at the city’s Blacksmith's Museum.
