Located inside what used to be the Beit Tahara (Funeral House) on the site of the city’s former Jewish cemetery, the Jewish Community of Klaipėda maintains a kosher kitchen, a mikvah and a small synagogue/prayer house. Outside are a few broken gravestones cemented in a couple of walls and some large pieces of concrete containing even more gravestones that were used as the foundations for a radio mast by the ever-sensitive Soviet regime.
