Žiogas—or Grasshopper—is a really simple to use app enabling anyone with a credit or debit card connected to an online banking service to use public transport in Kaunas. Available in English, download onto your phone or tablet, register your bank card, top it up with a minimum of €2 and away you go. Each journey costs €0.70 and is valid for two individual trips within 30 minutes. Activate each trip using the QR code on or next to the ticket machine by the driver, and top up with more credit wherever and whenever you need to.
