“Swan Lake” is the most notable phenomenon of ballet, which has been impressing viewers around the world for over a hundred years.
This endless romantic story about the Swan Princess tells about universal truths: about human passions, about the struggle between good and evil, about betrayal, but, above all, about the all-triumphant power of love.
The music for the performance was written by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, who was one of the most outstanding composers of the 19th century. Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov were choreographers who, in an artistic tandem with the composer, created this performance, which later became a symbol of classical ballet.
The triumphal premiere of this performance took place at the Mariinsky Theater of St. Petersburg in 1895.
The “Swan Lake” of the Royal Russian Ballet Theater is an updated version of the Mariinsky Theater performance presented by a strictly selected company of artists, with handwritten decorations and excellent costumes. For more than 10 years, it has been fascinating both adult and young audiences in many countries.
We invite you to enjoy this fabulous story, the beautiful and magical world of classical ballet!
