This privately-owned site is most famously known as the location where the first mass killings of the city's Jews took place by Lithuanian auxiliary police units during the summer of 1941. Avoid the children's parties in and around the main building, climb over the fence next to the Soviet-era Holocaust monument close to the junction of Sukilėlių and Algirdo and make your way to the mass grave and 2014 memorial towards the back of the complex.
