Unveiled in 1991 and the work of the Lithuanian sculptor Petras Mazūras (b. 1949), this far from elegant fellow dressed in nothing but his birthday suit is supposed to symbolise the beauty of man’s soul and body as well as to welcome all with open arms to the art gallery that he guards.
