Our members consist of many retailers, restaurateurs and hoteliers in central Kassel who are completely focused on pampering you during your visit and on making Kassel well-known far beyond the city limits.
Did you know that Kassel's shopping streets are among the top 50 most popular shopping locations in Germany? If not, then we invite you to meet us and our members this summer. In the city centre, the spacious Königsstrasse pedestrian zone invites visitors for a relaxing stroll. We recommend you start your shopping experience at the Stern, where the urban tram lines cross Königsstrasse, Kassel's main shopping area. The 1.5 km long pedestrianized street extends all the way west to Brüder-Grimm-Platz, and caters to almost every taste and budget.
Experience and enjoy a special kind of shopping experience in our three shopping malls (Königsgalerie, Citypoint and Kurfürsten Galerie) and in over 60 specialist shops. In addition to large multi-brand stores such as Peek & Cloppenburg, SiNN and Galeria Kaufhof, numerous specialist shops offer everything from books and technology to lifestyle articles, raising your shoppers' pulse. Also do try the typical Nordhesse specialities, available in many restaurants and shops. Near the western end of Königsstraße, check out the mixed and varied number of small specialist shops and cafés along Wilhelmstraße. All shops are easily reached, with over 10,000 parking spaces in the city centre and good access by bus, tram and train – and don't forget rental bicycles as a quick way to get to the city centre.
