Along the river just south of the Karlsaue park, Kassel's newly renovated central camping site is a relaxed place to pitch a tent or caravan and retreat from the city bustle. Spots including parking, electricity and warm showers from €18 for four people. The reception and kiosk are open 08:00–11:00 and 15:00–22:00.
