When this monumental structure opened its doors on the beach at Majori in 1916, it quickly became a must-visit attraction for the well-heeled. The bathing centre owned by the enigmatic E. Rācene offered a variety of bathing opportunities that included mud and seawater baths. Unfortunately, the building no longer serves this purpose, but it’s still a wonderful sight and an ever-present reminder of the resort city’s illustrious past.
