The Cliffside Boutique Hotel in Northcliff

Opened in October The Cliffside Boutique Hotels has one of the most exquisite surburban locations – the hotel is set at the rocky base of Northcliff ridge and boasts close to one kilometre of its own stone path walking trails. This quiet getaway nestled amid the rugged natural beauty of the Northcliff ridge has five suites, each with a private terrace placed to view either the sunset or sunrise. Hyatt House apartment hotel opens in Sandton

Hyatt Hotels has launched its first Hyatt House apartment hotel in South Africa, in a new building in Strathavon just beyond the Sandton Central business district. Designed especially for extended self-catering stays every room has a fully-equipped kitchen. The 62-apartment Hyatt House also boasts an outdoor area with braai facilities, a treehouse and pizza oven for guests, as well as a small pool. Indaba Hotel launches The Spier Wine Experience

The Spier Wine Experience at Indaba Hotel in Fourways

Stellenbosch has arrived in Fourways with The Spier Wine Experience at the Indaba Hotel. One of South Africa's biggest winemakers Spier has endeavoured to 'bring the Winelands to Joburg' with their brand new Spier wine tasting room tucked under the trees in the leafy expanse of the Indaba Hotel's vast grounds. The Spier Wine Experience is a permanent space that will be located at the Indaba Hotel for the next three years. In addition to Spier wine tasting experiences, there are also plenty of wines by the glass and you can buy bottles to take home, as well as unique artworks from Spier's Creative Block collection.

Art, fashion and short films at Hallmark House Hotel

Music producers and promoters Steyn Entertainment have partnered with D’Ussé cognac to bring the Summer Series back to Hallmark House Hotel in New Doornfontein.It's a huge coup! Envisaged as a platform to uplift the local arts scene after a difficult year, the Summer Series of events will unfold over the coming weeks with art exhibitions, a fashion show by the Eastern Cape Fashion and Design Council, DJ sets and performances and the Film Fridays series hosted by writer and producer Aphiwe Mkefe. The Film Fridays screenings happen on Fri Nov 26 and Fri Dec 10 from 16:00 on the Hallmark House rooftop and feature new short works by local filmmakers.
