Celebrating jacaranda season
In 2019 we launched our first #JacarandaInYourPocket photo competition. We've run the competition each year, and for the past three years, alongside it, our annual jacaranda experiences. For this past season, we hosted a fabulous photo walk masterclass and five other curated events, with close to 350 people joining us to explore Joburg in peak bloom.
The photographs by the top 20 finalists embody the season's beauty and instill a sense of pride in where we live. They also reflect the city's adventurous spirit. The vision is there; now we put them up for you to choose the winner.

Voters' lucky draw prizes
Everyone who votes for their favourite photo out of the 20 finalists enters a lucky draw to win one of the following great prizes:– Hotel stay for two people at Hyatt House Rosebank, including breakfast, valued at R1,900. Valid for 12 months.
– Instax Mini 12 camera with film, valued at R1,899.
– Hotel stay for two people at Hyatt House Sandton, including breakfast, valued at R1,700. Valid for 12 months.
– Double tickets for the City Sightseeing Red Bus plus a guided art tour, valued at R990.
