Visit The Library of Things we Forgot to Remember at 44 Stanley Avenue for a new exhibition featuring the work of three photographers from the Umhlabathi Collective.

The Umhlabathi Collective is a group of multi-generational photographers from Newtown who have united with the vision of making photography a more relational medium. Their unique approach to public programmes and events offers an opportunity to create a community of support, growth, and knowledge-sharing about photography and art in South Africa. The Library x Umhlabathi presents an exhibition of works from three of its collective members: Jabulani Dhlamini, Tshepiso Mazibuko, and Andile Komanisi.

The Library of Things We Forgot To Remember was founded by Zimbabwean-born artist Kudzanai Chiurai and is an archive of artistic materials drawn from private African collections including; vinyls, posters, paintings, and more. This is an independent space and Kudzanai invites different librarians to curate the space according to their unique approach, thus giving visitors a different experience every time!

The exhibition is open 10:00-16:00. Closed Sun-Wed.
