South African playwright Athol Fugard has described this recent work, which is inspired by the horrific story of a black woman who threw herself and her three children in front of a train in the Cape Flats, as one of the most important he has ever written. The play follows traumatised Afrikaans train driver Roelf, played by Dawid Minaar (best known for his role as Leon de Lange on prime time soapie 7de Laan) and gravedigger Simon, played by veteran actor and author John Kani (most recently seen playing King T'Chaka in the box office smash hit Black Panther), as they set out on a journey through a desolate squatter camp in search of the woman's grave.
