This unique contemporary art exhibition and auction led by SAFFCA (the Southern African Foundation For Contemporary Art) celebrates the wealth, depth and diversity of the burgeoning contemporary art scene in the region with an impressive exhibition featuring the works of 50 leading established and emerging artists from southern Africa. Featured artists include Willhem Boshoff, Deborah Bell, Roger Ballen, Dr Esther Mahlangu, Sizwe Khoza, Philemon Hlungwani, Cyrus Kabiru, Themba Khumalo, William Kentridge, Blessing Ngobeni, Usha Seejarim, Banele Khoza and Bambo Sibiya.

Making the event especially noteworthy is the spectacular venue, the historic Villa Arcadia in Parktown. One of Joburg's most beautiful heritage homes designed by the famous Herbert Baker, Villa Arcadia is now part of the Hollard offices and is not normally accessible to the general public. During the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the building on a free guided tour.

In addition to the guided tours, other events happening in conjunction with the exhibition include the SAFFCA Art Talks series on Sat Nov 16 where artists featured in the exhibition will be discussing their work.

The exhibition ends with a live auction of 25 new artworks featured in the show with 70% of the proceeds raised going directly to the artists and their galleries and the remaining 30% to non-profit organisations who work to foster the development of fine art in South Africa including Lalela, The Bag Factory artist studios and SAFFCA.

The exhibition is open to the public from:
Wed Nov 13 and Thu Nov 14 from 12:00–14:00 and 15:00–17:30
Fri Nov 15 from 14:00–19:00
