Get ready for a musical journey back to the roots with The Muffinz. From their beginnings in the UJ Choir, The Muffinz – comprising Sfiso Atomza Buthelezi, Mthabisi Sibanda, Simz Kulla, Gregory 'Keke' Mabusela, and Geoffery Chitima have grown into a South African musical sensation. Now they’re back for a special reunion that promises a mix of nostalgia, celebration, and performance. Fresh off their international success, these UJ alumni are celebrating 12 years of captivating tunes and transformative performances with a two-part celebration on Wed, Sep 25 and Fri, Sep 27 at the UJ Art Centre.

Wed, Sep 25  Living Life Live documentary premiere

Experience the premiere of Living Life Live, a reflective documentary by frontman Sfiso Atomza Buthelezi, chronicling their rise from UJ students to South Africa’s music icons. Screening starts at 19:30 and is free, but RSVP is essential. You can RSVP here. (The event has reached capacity).

Fri, Sep 27 – One Night Only live performance

From 19:30, don’t miss the One Night Only performance featuring fan favourites and a tribute to South African classics. This unforgettable night will showcase how far The Muffinz have come since their days at UJ.

From their humble beginnings to becoming one of South Africa's musical sensations, this is a reunion you don’t want to miss. Tickets for the One Night Only performance are R300 p.p. for general admission; R280 for UJ staff and alumni; R250 for UJ students. You can grab yours here.
