The Manor and Refuse Clothing pop-up at Keyes Art Mile
Sunday Jul 7 09:30–16:00
19-21 Keyes Ave, Rosebank
IQHUGWANE at Keyes Art Mile, launching as part of First Thursdays, showcases menswear brand Refuse Clothing's unique fusion of African Nguni aesthetics and contemporary fashion design. Inspired by traditional Zulu huts renowned for their warmth and stability, this collection applies the wisdom of ancestral homes to the modern-day. Tribal motifs are made street-ready in a range characterised by earthy tones, all-over prints, and boxy silhouettes.
Held in partnership with Refuse Clothing, the pop-up event celebrates the notion of home as it relates to The Manor's mission as a collective built around community, pride, and cultural dialogue. Like 'ighugwane', the plural term for a handcrafted hut in Zulu, The Manor and Refuse Clothing endeavour to bring forth a feeling of being centred – "home" in every sense of the word.
Experience IQHUGWANE in the Annex of Keyes Art Mile in Rosebank on Thu, Jul 4 from 18:00 – 21:00 and on Fri, Jul 5 – Sun, Jul 7 from 9:30 – 16:00.
