The Basha Uhuru Creative Uprising

Monday Nov 16 - Saturday Nov 21       Cnr Joubert St and Kotze St, Braamfontein
share
For the last eight years, every June, the Constitution Hill’s Bashu Uhuru Freedom Festival has showcased, celebrated and nurtured artistic talent, and particularly the creativity of South Africa's youth. As South Africa was in lockdown this year's festival did not happen in June as usual but is back in a new format from November 16 to 21.

In accordance with new regulations the event has very limited capacity this year and prior booking of tickets is absolutely essential. The 2020 festival again features art exhibitions, live music, design showcases, film screenings and poetry events, as well as seminars, workshops, webinars and masterclasses.

Nov 17,18,19 and 20 The outdoor Creative Uprising Film Screenings
Film screenings take place every evening at 19:00 featuring new South African films.

Sat Nov 21 The Uprising Picnic (SOLD OUT!)
This picnic party begins at 12:00 with a programme of DJs and live music sets featuring local artists 251 Afrika, Abafazi, Marcus Haervy, Sio, Easy Freak and more.
