Thabang Lehobye's tender reflections of Johannesburg as a city of "shimmering dreams and relentless ambitions" forms the focus of his solo show, Rite of Passage, with Lizamore & Associates in Rosebank. As one facet of the city's complex existence, it has become symbol for opportunity – drawing all those who dare into its matrix in an attempt to make their mark. Judging from the few paintings shown by Lehobye as a preview of this exhibition, it will be beautiful.
