Gallery Mashumi Art Projects (MAP) touches down at Morning Glen Mall in Sandton with new works by Mpumalanga-born, Soweto-based artist Kenny Nkosi. Moving from Mpumalanga's serene, open landscapes to the densely energetic Soweto was a marked shift in the artist's surroundings. Nkosi's work reflects this personal odyssey and celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Johannesburg. The role of women in society is a recurring theme in his work, while his repertoire ranges widely from abstracts to relief paintings and sculptures.
