In 2023 chef Dario De Angeli (chef-owner of the award-winning Cube Tasting Kitchen and Est Est Alea) started reinventing the space and the menus at Clico Boutique Hotel in Rosebank with the opening of 400 Degrees. A year later, he's set out to rebrand the restaurant as Sec, marking it as a standalone restaurant that isn't tied to the hotel: a space that's always open to the public to come to and enjoy a good meal in an elegant setting. 

With Sec, De Angeli has had fun using new ingredients like Egyptian frost salt and Italian San Marzano tomatoes that he prepares in a small plate offering (on the meat side, more than venison, you can expect ingredients like crocodile and Namibian crab to feature on the menu). And those who have come to appreciate the pizza offering from 400 Degrees will be pleased to know that a small selectoin of pizzas are still available.
