Lemon season is upon us in Joburg and you get to bring along the family to pick out some Lisbon lemons and other herbs and vegetables at Ganico Organic Farm in Muldersdrift on Sun Aug 21. A great way to appreciate nature while taking in some vitamin D, it's a fun day out and great value too if you love lemons. 

The farm gates opens at 10:00 for visitors to come and start harvesting and close at 14:00. During your visit you can also join a guided tour of the farm (every 30 minutes) to learn about growing food organically. It is advised to dress for the farm (i.e nothing fancy) and wear appropriate shoes for walking around a farm. Visitors also need to bring their own scissors or pruning shares. Booking is essential and space is very limited so don't delay!

It costs R185 for a farm box to pick, fill up and take home with lemons, herbs, vegetables and edible flowers available for harvesting. The Ganico Organic Farm is located at 250 Tuohyvale Rd, Krugersdorp.
