Artist Peter Eastman’s <em>Coldstream</em> shows the darker side of the Knysna forest region. Pensive and meditative, Eastman’s new oil on aluminium works explore the transience of light and reflection on the forest floor. Using only two colours, one dark colour for shade and one light, Eastman captures the dancing sunlight across foliage, branches and water near his family retreat, with an introspective, almost dreamlike eye.
