The next edition of the Night Embassy party series kicks off with a party weekend in Soweto created by Kombonation. Kombonation is led by two Market Photo Workshop graduates; Kananelo Kabelo Sello and Kgotso Selomah, who specialise in visual storytelling and creating kasi nightlife experiences that are centred around celebrating local creativity and togetherness.

The Kaofela Kaofela event at Uncle Tom's Community Centre on Khumalo St in Orlando West, takes place across three days and is filled with music, fashion, photography, film screenings, exhibitions and more. The duo aim to showcase the best of Sowetan creativity from photography to street fashion, documentary films, live performance and music.

The first night of the party weekend is dedicated to paying homage to township lifestyle and particularly the music that is so distinctive of Soweto including kwaito, house and amapiano. 

Sat June 25 Monate Nice! On Saturday Kombonation host The Skate Kontest curated by Perfekt Weather Skate Foundation. There are also board games and classic arcade games at the venue and taking things into the night there are Drum n Bass, hip hop and alternative DJ sets. 

Sun June 26  Live Eb'Suku The last night of the party celebrates living legends and new Sowetan sounds with a fresh showcase of emerging new music acts.
