January's National Theatre Live feature is Young Marx. This clever new satire by writers Richard Bean and Clive Coleman is set in 1850 in London and seeks to demystify the aura surrounding the young Marx and his fellow revolutionary Engels. The young Karl Marx is sly, intellectually brilliant and the life of the party. He is also being hounded by creditors, spies, rival revolutionary factions and prospective seducers of his beautiful wife. His friend and confidante Engels meanwhile despairs at his friend's wasted genius.
