The Colours of Nature is a live performance, lecture and screening of Natalie Paneng's work for the exhibition Entangled Intimacies. The exhibition explores what it means to live in ecological chaos and how this manifests in art. In The Colours Of Nature, Paneng focuses on the development of her 'Future Formula' which reflects on greenwashing, the international energy crises, neoliberal marketing strategies and online culture.

Natalie Paneng's work has become distinct for its comic and hyperreal look at our contemporary era and this saw her nominated for the MTN X UJ New Contemporary Awards 2022. This video and performance piece will give insight into the inner workings of her mind as she contemplates the increasing toxicity of our planet and she uses her art to imagine the consequences of the dominant extractive mode of interacting with the Earth.

Admission is free for the performance and screening. No RSVP required.
