EB Social Kitchen and Bar presents a decadent five-course literary-themed lunch this Mother’s Day with dishes inspired by history’s greatest literary heroines. Each course is named after a classic novel chosen by head chefs Yohann Saumande and Beatrix Thornhill. These include dishes such as The Yellow Wallpaper,seared scallops paired with pineapple spicy jelly, seaweed salad and hazelnut granola, Sense & Sensibility, a lightly-smoked Norwegian salmon with chives Yorkshire pudding, green pea puree and creamy truffle sauce and Little Women, a surf and turf dish with curried springbok and tiger prawns served alongside potato mash and roasted root vegetables. For dessert enjoy a glass of bubbly and The Light between Oceans, a mixed-spice pecan nut tart served with coconut ice-cream, almond dentelle and a bright blue curacao sauce.
