Formed in Mamelodi in the late 1970s, the Moss Mogale Unit is made up of South African jazz veterans such as the charismatic guitarist Moss Mogale and trumpeter Ntsikelelo Mcwabe (best known as part of the Mkizwana Ensemble). Channelling the vibrant township jazz style of the turbulent 1970s, the Moss Mogale Unit takes to The Orbit stage ahead of the release of their new album, performing original compositions by Mogale and jazz standards.
