Mark Lewis: A photography exhibition starring the cast of 'NKOLI: The Vogue-Opera'

NKOLI: The Vogue-Opera (formerly GLOW) chronicling the life of gay anti-apartheid activist Simon Nkoli is coming to The Market Theatre in Newtown from Fri, Nov 17 – Sun, Nov 19. The groundbreaking production was created by internationally acclaimed composer and sound artist Philip Miller, with rapper S’bo 'Gyre' Nene as co-lyricist and award-winning Rikki Beadle Blair as director and choreographer.

Ahead of the show's Joburg run, Mark Lewis (@marklewisphotos) has photographed the charismatic singers, dancers and performers who bring NKOLI: The Vogue-Opera to life. These dazzling portraits will be shown in celebration of the production at Art & About pop-up gallery in Sandton.

The photography exhibition runs until Sun, Oct 29 at Art & About pop-up gallery in the RMB Precinct, 8 Merchant Place, Cnr Rivonia Rd and Fredman Dr, Sandton Central.
