Durban-born saxophonist and composer Linda Sikhakhane returns to The Orbit in the wake of his recent SAMRO Overseas Scholarship in New York, where he has been studying under the likes of jazz legends Billy Harper, David Schnitter and Reggie Workman. A rising star of note in the South African contemporary jazz scene, Sikhakhane is performing for two nights only at The Orbit before returning to New York to continue his studies.

At this special gig Sikhakhane performs works from his debut album Two Sides, One Mirror, in which he explores music as a mode of self-expression, restoration, decolonisation and cultural preservation. He is joined on stage by his sextet band.
