Jazz pianist and composer Kyle Shepherd received the prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year in 2014 and is one of South Africa’s most exciting young jazz talents. A regular fixture on the international jazz scene, Shepherd has collaborated on contemporary jazz projects with musicians from all over the world.

At this concert Shepherd is performing with his jazz quintet, an exciting musical collaboration made up of some of the brightest young jazz stars, including fellow Standard Bank award winner Benjamin Jephta (bass) and drummer Marlon Witbooi. At this concert the quintet present new unreleased original compositions and hits from Shepherd’s rich repertoire.
