KOP, started in 2018, is a youth-run Johannesburg-based event focused on building “the culture of music and art through experimenting in socially curated events.” KOP is “a moveable experience,” with sporadic dates and venues, and its unpredictable frequency makes it popular among its attendees. Edgy venues like The Third Place, Smoking Kills in Melville and The Tennis Club at Ellis Park have all played host to this event with DJs Rarri, UnclePartytime, Franadilla and Lelowhatsgood on deck and the affair photographed by legendary Johannesburg events photographers.
