Explore the life and legacy of Bang Bang Club photographer Ken Oosterbroek in the posthumous exhibition, Killed in Africa, at Museum Africa. Oosterbroek's images captured the dark days of apartheid and the struggle towards freedom right up until he was killed on duty in Thokoza, nine days before South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994. "Through his lens, he sought to give voice to the voiceless, portraying the rich diversity and complex realities of South Africa with integrity and empathy," reads the exhibition's curatorial statement.
