A pop-up store of the popular annual Kamers Fair. Originally named Kamers vol Geskenke (Rooms full of gifts, translated from Afrikaans), the fairs that usually take place in Johannesburg, Pretoria and the Cape have not been able to take place in Covid-restricted 2020. So on August 28 Kamers Makers Space popped up in Hyde Park Corner shopping mall in what is probably the mall's nicest location, a vast open space with large windows that make you forget the often purposely designed confinement of malls. 

You can expect a selection of locally crafted products from 80 makers, and unlike their regular events, entrance is free of charge. The pop-up is expected to be there for three months and it is planned to rotate all of the brands in store every 3 weeks, making for a fresh experience every time. Goods on sale include clothing and accessories, hand- crafted objects and homeware, all made by small South African businesses. 

The store is located in the Upper Mall, next to the Nespresso Store. Open daily, Sun 09:00–15:00
