This moving tribute honours one of South Africa’s most iconic figures, King Shaka, in a powerful tale of leadership, destiny, and heritage. Set against the backdrop of Zulu royalty, the symphony also delves into the lives of Queen Nandi and Princess Mkabayi, weaving a rich tapestry of family, power, and triumph. As the final instalment of Bessey’s celebrated Royal Trilogy, iNkosi uShaka promises to be an unforgettable journey through history and music.

Led by conductor Daniel Boico, and featuring the stirring narration of Ntokozo Ngcobo, this monumental performance brings together the finest talent. Joining the orchestra are soloists Andile Dlamini (bass-baritone), Siphokazi Nonzwakazi Maphumolo (soprano), and Rheinaldt Tshepo Moagi (tenor), with the magnificent voices of the Gauteng Choristers completing the ensemble.
With awe-inspiring music, a heart-stirring narrative, and a deep connection to South African heritage, this performance is set to be a Heritage Day highlight.
