This annual independent and alternative art exhibition showcases unusual and distinctive artworks by lesser-known local artists. Now in its 13th year, Joburg Fringe has an ethos that 'encourages a diverse art audience by offering fresh, dynamic and original work'. Rather excitingly for this very virtual-world focused times, Joburg Fringe 2020 is taking place as a physical event, with works on show at The Art Room in Parkhurst.

This year there are some thirty different local emerging artists featured at the Joburg Fringe working in a variety of media including textiles, photography, embroidery, painting and printmaking.
